This year is a milestone for Sojitz do Brasil in improving its Compliance Program. Reaffirming our spirit of integrity, we announced the creation of two new compliance structures at Sojitz do Brasil: the position of Compliance Officer and the Integrity and Compliance Committee.

 

The Compliance Officer of Sojitz do Brasil will employ all efforts for the correct functioning of the integrity program of Sojitz do Brasil and membership by the employees and third parties. The Integrity and Compliance Committee aims to guide, advise, act in the management of the compliance program of Sojitz do Brasil and establish mechanisms to identify, mitigate and/or prevent inappropriate practices.

 

The position of Compliance Officer will be held by Larissa Kubo Morioka, who was already responsible for compliance in Brazil, but now has its responsibilities, independence and autonomy reaffirmed. The Integrity and Compliance Committee is composed of the Compliance Officer, the Chief Financial Officer and the President of Sojitz do Brasil.

 

Certain that I will exercise leadership, I propose to actively listen to all the collaborators and other stakeholders of Sojitz do Brasil, so that together we can prioritize compliance and value the integrity of Sojitz do Brasil.
